Keynote Speaker
  Elizabeth J. Cabraser, Esq. - a founding partner of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, Ms. Cabraser is a nationally recognized trial lawyer and authority in complex tort and class action litigation.  She is well known for her work on major litigation involving the Exxon Valdez crash, Dalkon Shield implants, multi-state tobacco disputes and the Holocaust, to name just a few. A graduate of the University of California and its Boalt Hall School of Law, Ms. Cabraser has served as a visiting professor at Boalt as well as Columbia University School of Law and Vanderbilt University Law School.  She has also lectured extensively on tort law, federal civil procedure and complex litigation and is the author of numerous law review articles and practice guides.  She has served the legal community as a member of the Council of the American Law Institute, California Constitution Revision Commission, 1993-1996; National Center for State Courts Mass Tort Conference Planning Committee; Northern District of California Civil Justice Reform Act (CJRA) Advisory Committee.  

Ms. Cabraser has received awards and honors from a variety of institutions and publications, including recognition as among "One Hundred Most Influential Lawyers in America" (National Law Journal, 2006, 2000 & 1997); “Top 100 Lawyers” (California Daily Journal, 2002-2007); Award For Public Interest Excellence (USF School of Law, 2007); and Citation Award (Boalt Hall, 2003
